About Us
In 2004, after the death of his mother Alexandra from cardiovascular complications, her son — newly admitted to Obafemi Awolowo University — envisioned starting a community pharmacy in her name dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care.
That vision became reality in 2017 with the opening of Mendel’s Pharmacy in Port Harcourt. In 2018, it moved to Westgold Mall, where it expanded its services and deepened its relationship with the local community.
The idea for Medikhunt was conceived in 2016, but the founder prioritized building community trust first. The platform was later launched to extend services online, providing prescription and supplement access to people beyond the immediate locality.
Today, Medikhunt has been revamped to integrate AI and technology, continuing the shared mission of Mendel’s Pharmacy: to comfort, defend, and serve patients both locally and globally.
